What is TREC?

·TREC is the first and only full-time therapeutic riding facility in Pueblo, Colorado

·TREC currently serves 23 clients and can ultimately serve 50 rider-clients

·TREC offers a five-day a week program for people with disabilities

·TREC accommodates those with many mental, physical and emotional disabilities (see “Who does TREC Serve?”)

·TREC is a (NARHA) North American Riding for the Handicapped Association Member Center. NARHA sets standards of operation and policies of practice for TREC

·TREC has professionals who have been educated on NARHA’s program and administrative standards

·TREC class sessions are supervised by a NARHA Certified Riding Instructor

·TREC has a General Liability Insurance Policy which covers the riders, volunteers and instructors

·TREC personnel have access to continuing education opportunities to maintain a standard of excellence in providing activities with horses for individuals with disabilities through NARHA

·TREC is happy to explain their services and provide tours for those who are interested
